“But she booked only one seat on the Gulfstream,” I said.

“The decryption keys are in there, along with the offshore routing numbers she used to drain the girls’ trust funds.”
I felt the heavy weight of the paper against my palms.
“Why give this to me now, Arthur?” I asked.
“Because she is boarding the plane,” he said.
“And I am not going to prison alone for her.”
I tapped the phone still active in my hand.
“Marcus, did you get all of that?” I asked.
“Every word,” Marcus said.
“I am patching in Detective Pierce right now.”
I looked at Arthur.
“Do not leave this building,” I told him.
“The police are already on their way.”
He sat down on a vinyl chair in the hallway and put his head in his hands.
