“What is that?” Declan asked, glancing back.

“The audited financial data of the Salvi family,” I said.

Roman turned around in his seat, his eyes locking onto the small silver drive.

“You took the master ledgers?” Roman asked, a rare hint of surprise in his voice.

“I took everything,” I said.

“It has every transaction, every bribe, and every bank account Victor uses.”

“It also has my father’s offshore account details,” I added.

Roman reached out his hand, but I pulled the drive back.

“No,” I said.

“This stays with me until I am free.”

Roman’s eyes narrowed, but he did not try to force it from my hand.

“You are playing a dangerous game, Maeve,” Roman murmured.

“I am playing the only game I have,” I replied.

Declan chuckled, a low, dark sound.

“The girl has teeth,” Declan said, turning the SUV onto a dark, residential street.

“I like it.”

“We can use this to destroy Victor,” Roman said, ignoring Declan.

“We can freeze his assets and cut off his supply lines.”

“But first, we need to deal with my father,” I said.
