The Billionaire Who Stole My Life and the Secret Brother Who Kept It
I had to get back to Victoria Sterling.
She was the only link left who had the power to change this.
I sent her a text message to the number I had saved from a previous gallery mailing list.
*I know about your father. Meet me in the conservatory at the library. Ten minutes.*
I didn’t expect her to come, but when I walked into the quiet glass dome of the library greenhouse, she was already there.
She had thrown a dark wool coat over her silver gown, looking pale under the green fronds of the exotic plants.
“You’re bold,” Victoria said, her voice echoing slightly in the damp, quiet space.
“Bold enough to want the truth,” I replied, stepping closer to her.
“Your father blackmailed my father to erase my marriage to Alexander.”
Victoria did not look surprised; she simply closed her eyes for a brief moment.
“My father is a monster,” she said softly, opening her eyes to look at me.
“Then why are you marrying
the man who is pretending to be him?”
Victoria looked up toward the glass dome.
