I scrambled toward the glass door, the rain stinging my face as it swept into the ruined study.
On the terrace, Ryker grabbed the gunman’s wrist, slamming it against the stone balustrade.

“Where are Lily and Owen?” I asked, looking toward the hallway.
“Safe,” Ryker said. “They are in the secure panic room with Mrs. Gable.”
