I walked past him and headed back up the stairs to get my daughter.

I paused on the stairs, my hand gripping the wooden banister.
The television anchor was indeed reading a new statement.
“Sources close to the investigation suggest that a former executive assistant, Sienna Cole, is currently cooperating with federal prosecutors under a grant of immunity.”
I smiled to myself in the dark hallway.
