Courtney gasped, her eyes widening as she looked around the room for support.
No one met her gaze.
“That is a lie,” Courtney stammered, her voice shaking. “Jared promised me those funds were part of my consulting contract.”
“There is no contract,” I said, looking directly at her. “There is only a paper trail of fraud.”
The chairman looked at the board members, then back to me.
“If this is true, Shelby, Jared’s shares are forfeit under the company’s moral turpitude clause,” he said.
