“The legal team used the close of the market on Friday.”
“I still want to see the ledger,” I said.
“Especially the recent operational expenditures.”
“If I am transferring my entire livelihood, I want to see the latest audit.”
Jared sighed, a sound of gentle, paternalistic impatience.
“You shouldn’t be looking at spreadsheets right now.”
“The doctor said cognitive strain could trigger another relapse.”
“I am fine, Jared,” I said, keeping my tone soft.
“I will go to the office tomorrow morning.”
“I can sign the papers there once I look over the travel and marketing expenditures.”
“They have been running high lately, haven’t they?”
