“The offer is still on the table,” Jennifer said. “The buyer’s representative wants to sign the preliminary contract tomorrow morning.”
“Can we do it without Brent’s signature?”
“Yes,” Jennifer said. “The title is solely in your name. We have the original purchase documents from before the marriage, and the quitclaim deed he tried to file has already been flagged as fraudulent.”
“Let’s sign it,” I said. “Tomorrow.”
“I will set it up for ten AM at my office,” Jennifer said. “I want you to stay at Molly’s tonight, Tessa. Don’t stay here alone.”
“I’m not afraid of him anymore,” I said.
