“Every penny they transferred out of the Bennett holdings into their personal accounts is in here,” I said.

“We will need that for the grand jury,” Harper said, nodding toward the book.

“They won’t be able to explain this away,” the detective added.

“What happens now?” I asked, looking at the spilled gasoline on the floor.

“We secure the scene, and my team goes through the rest of these files,” Harper said.

“Your father’s bank accounts are already being flagged for freezing,” he added.

“And my mother’s?” I asked.

“Every account associated with their names or their business,” Harper said. “They won’t have a dime to post bail.”

A sense of relief washed over me, so strong my knees felt weak for a moment.

Wyatt caught me, his strong arms holding me steady against his chest.

“We did it, Sadie,” he whispered into my hair.

“It’s over,” I said, staring at the leather book in my hands.

“The criminal part is just beginning for them,” Harper corrected gently.

“They are going to lose everything, Sadie,” the detective added. “The house, the cars, the business.”
