How My Family Tried to Destroy Me and Ended Up Ruining Themselves
“They detail how Wyatt used his construction company to launder money.”
“And more importantly, how he physically intimidated and harassed me when I tried to stop him.”
Wyatt let out a short, dry laugh.
“That’s complete fiction,” Wyatt said.
“It doesn’t matter if it’s fiction,” Melanie countered, leaning forward.
“The media will love it.”
“A rising local developer accused of abusing his fiancée’s sister and running a shadow operation.”
“I have three different witnesses ready to sign these affidavits and send them to every news outlet in Ohio.”
She looked at Wyatt, her eyes shining with malice.
“Your business will be dead by tomorrow morning.”
“Clients will pull out of the riverfront project.”
“The bank will call in your loans.”
“You will be completely ruined, Wyatt.”
I stared at my sister, disgusted by the sheer desperation in her eyes.
“You are insane,” I said.
“I am surviving, Sadie,” she snapped back.
“There is a difference.”
She turned her full attention back to Wyatt.
“I will make all of this disappear,” Melanie said.
“The affidavits, the witnesses, the media contacts.”
