“Colonel Parker,” I said.

“Emily, it’s General Vance,” the voice on the other end said.

“Sir,” I said.

“The military police have Carter in custody,” he said.

“The JAG officers are already sorting through the files you secured from his safe,” the General said.

“There is enough evidence there to keep a dozen lawyers busy for a month.”

“I want a clean sweep, Emily,” he added.
