“They should be there now,” Marcus said. “The locksmith was scheduled for noon.”
I looked at the clock on the wall.
It was 12:15 PM.
“Call them, Marcus,” I said, my heart beginning to race again. “Make sure the locks are changed and the guards are in place.”
“I’m calling them right now,” he said. “I’ll call you back in five minutes.”
He hung up.
