“My lawyers will have this thrown out in an hour,” Tristan said.

Agent Vance pulled a thick stack of documents from his leather portfolio.

“Your lawyers are currently being detained for questioning, Mr. Carmichael,” Vance said.

“We have your entire server,” Vance said. “We have the offshore routing numbers.”

“And we have the transaction records showing the theft of Kate Hayes’s personal savings,” Vance added.

Tristan’s gaze snapped to me, his eyes filled with pure venom.

“You did this,” he whispered.

“I only gave them the password to your private drive,” I said.

“You stole from me first, Tristan,” I said.

“I trusted you with my life, and you left me with nothing,” I said.

“Now we are even,” I said.

“Not quite,” Arthur interrupted, his voice smooth and dangerous.

“Mr. Carmichael still owes a significant debt to my associates,” Arthur said.

Agent Vance looked at Arthur, his expression hardened by suspicion.

“We are enforcing the emergency asset forfeiture laws, Mr. Sterling,” Vance said.

“Every account tied to the Carmichael Group has been frozen,” Vance said.

“That includes the shipping accounts,” Vance added.
