“Mom?” Ethan looked at Margaret, his eyes wide with sudden terror. “Tell them. Tell them they can’t do this.”
Margaret did not look at her son.
She kept her eyes locked on Agent Carter.
“This is a mistake,” Margaret said. “Marcus Vance left the country.”
“We found his car in a shipping container in the Savannah port yesterday morning,” Agent Carter said. “And we found his remains in a shallow grave on your property in upstate South Carolina three hours ago.”
An agent stepped behind Ethan, grabbing his wrists and pulling them behind his back.
