“Not anymore,” Dante said.

He closed the binder with a heavy thud.

“Without this legal shield, the transactions are just raw, stolen syndicate money.”

“If the syndicates find out he was laundering their collateral through fake lawsuits, they will tear him apart.”

The computer screen emitted one long, continuous tone.

The countdown hit zero.

The red warning sign turned into a solid black screen with a single word: *COMPLETED.*

“It’s done,” Vanessa whispered, leaning back in her chair.

“The final three million just cleared into the offshore settlement account.”

“Marcus has the routing key.”

“He’s already moving it.”

Dante pulled his phone from his pocket.

He tapped the screen twice and held it to his ear.

“Marcus has the key,” Dante said into the receiver.

“Freeze the recipient accounts in Zurich and Panama.”

“Cut off his access to the trust funds.”

He listened for a moment, his gaze fixed on the rain outside.

“Do it now,” Dante said, then hung up.

He looked down at Vanessa.

“You think you were clever, Vanessa.”

“But a trust account only works if the bank exists tomorrow.”
