“Resign tonight,” James said. “Write a letter stating you are leaving for personal reasons.”
“If you do, I will make sure the complaint disappears.”

James stepped closer, his scent of expensive cologne mixing with the smell of the rain.

“Mark has already taken care of the paperwork.”
“Who do you think the board will believe?”
