“It brings great credit to Harborview,” Chief Aris added.
“Especially now, as we launch the fundraising campaign for the new pediatric wing.”
My heart lifted slightly at the mention of the wing.
The new wing would double our capacity for long-term pediatric care.
It was a project I had dreamed about for years.
“We want you to be a key part of our presentation to the donors next week,” Chief Aris said.

“I would be honored,” I said.
